> Student > Rusynian and Serbian origins. Part of family coming from Ruski Krstur, a village in Vojvodina with a Rusyn ethnic majority. > Extracts Rusynian do not have a country, they are spread in different countries in Balkans. They came from Ukraine originally. Some came to Hungary and then saw their names or traditions influcenced by Hungarian. There are some special places or events where they can gather in Subotica or in Ruski Krstur. People from different national communities of Subotica are mixed and speak mainly the same language. The several national communities are interacting a lot in a peacuful way. Many people in Serbia are gathering for Slava, a traditional orthodox celebration (every family has its own Patron Saint). |
